Paul Gyodo Sensei and Amy Jonin Newell-Large discuss sangha and belonging in both Buddhist and Christian communities and the deep practice of hospitality in seeking and serving Buddha Nature in all beings.

Jonin (aka Rev. Amy) is a Buddhist practitioner and Episcopal priest who fuses spiritual community development with hospitality and design thinking. She emphasizes community-led, teacher-supported sangha, and works to help communities create cultures of openness, courageous hospitality, and imagination.

Jonin's background in interreligious dialogue and hospitality management shaped her passion for building places of belonging. Her lifelong commitment to contemplative practices grounds her work of community in the interconnectedness of all beings. Jonin has been working with One Body Sangha in our development of culture, community, and belonging.
